Methods of payment:

For customers in the UK we accept: cheques, postal orders, cash (sent registered), Visa, MasterCard and debit cards.

For customers outside the UK we accept: bank drafts in Pounds Sterling, Visa, MasterCard and wire transfers.

We require your full name, address and fax number and if paying by debit or credit card, your card number, expiry date & the last 3 digits on the signature strip (+ start date or issue number where applicable). We also require your card billing address if different from your delivery address.

If you are not paying by credit/debit card, we can reserve the item(s) until your payment arrives.

By email

Please send your order to peterloy@peterloy.com  We do not have an online ordering facility so you do not have to rely on a list being up-to-date!  Our stock changes daily and we will physically check that an item is in stock when you place your order. 

We require your full name and address (+ card billing address if different from your delivery address). You can telephone or fax your card details if you prefer.

By post

We require your full name, address (+ telephone/fax number if possible) and if paying by debit or credit card, your card number, expiry date & the last 3 digits on the signature strip (+ start date +  issue number where applicable). We also require your card billing address if different from your delivery address. Cheques or bank drafts should be made payable to “Peter Loy”.

Shipping:

Orders placed before 4.00pm (UK time) are usually sent the same day.

Orders to UK addresses:  Orders under £30.00 in value are sent by First Class mail.  Over £30.00 in value, we use Royal Mail Special Delivery, Royal Mail Standard Parcels or Parcelforce depending on the weight and value of the parcel and customers preference.

Typical postage costs vary from £1.50 (instruction book, filter etc.) up to £7.00 (camera + lens and case weighing up to 2kgs in total). Parcels over 2kgs are charged at cost, e.g. 6kgs of books, £8.00

We can tell you the exact cost of the postage and packing on your items when you place your order

Orders to addresses outside the UK: We use Royal Mail Small Packets Airmail, Printed Papers Airmail, Surface Mail,  Parcelforce Worldwide & UPS (+ other carriers and services on request). The service we use depends on the weight and value of the parcel and customers preference.  The postage and packing on all overseas orders is charged at cost.  We can tell you the exact cost when you place your order. To give you an idea of likely shipping costs, here are a few examples:

Example 1:

800g to 1kg weight and £30.00 value

Europe (Airmail) £5.50

Europe (Surface) £4.50

Outside Europe (Airmail) £9.50

Outside Europe (Suface) £4.50

Example 2:

Up to 1.5kgs weight and £500.00 value

Europe, Airmail + International Signed For, insured:  £12.50 (books = £11.50)

Outside Europe, Airmail + International Signed for, insured: £18.50 (books = £18.00)

Europe & outside Europe, Surface + International Signed for, insured: £11.00

Example 3:

Up to 2kgs weight and £500.00 value

Europe, Airmail + International Signed For, insured:  £15.00 (books = £13.00)

Outside Europe, Airmail + International Signed for, insured: £23.00

Europe & outside Europe, Surface – International Signed for, insured: £13.00

Example 4:

Up to 4kgs weight and £150.00 value

Belgium, Netherlands, France & Germany, Parcelforce Worldwide International Standard, insured: £25.00

USA, Parcelforce Worldwide International Economy: £31.00

USA, Parcelforce Worldwide International Standard, insured: £41.00

Japan, Parcelforce Worldwide International Economy: £40.00

Japan, Parcelforce Worldwide International Standard, insured: £46.00

Add £10.00 to all above prices for insurance up to £500.00

Example 5:

Up to 8kgs weight

Belgium & Netherlands, UPS Standard: £53.00

France & Germany, UPS Standard: £64.00

USA, UPS Expedited: from £56.00

Japan, UPS Expedited: £90.00

All parcels are insured up to £75.00. For insurance on parcels of a higher value, please add 1% of the value.
